bivens
i traded my 400ex yesterday for a banshee. So far liking the banshee but its got some jerryrigging. its not in the greatest shape but it has potential. its basically stock with tors delete and a shitty boost bottle and rims. besides some worn parts theres something thats worrying me, the chain would go from slacked to tight.i took the chain off and when i spin the front sprocket in nuetral it will stick at a certain point but when im riding it i cant notice anything...any advice?i torqued the nut on the countershaft and its just csticking a little now its not going tight as much anymore. guns4children
Welcome to the darkside. My advice would be go to you bank and get a line of credit. These things are almost as fun to wrench and mod on as they are to ride!

Dahl87banshee
Sounds like something in the clutch..? Not really too sure. Change the trans oil and run it for a little bit then change it again. That will get all the bad oil out. Hopefully just something simple though. It's good that it isn't doing it while you ride but I'd still figure out the problem. 1.5 quarts of automatic transition fluid. It's cheap and works good. Good luck. Also welcome to BHQ. ticktock
Hey and welcome to BHQ! Not sure on your chain issue but check the rear end axle bearings. Members recommend ATF but I think it sucks. I ran it and it seemed to burn up fast. I run Castro 10-40 4T it's the same price and a better oil. Make your list of things that need to be replaced, cross that with your list of things you want to upgrade and get that Shee running right! Welcome to the site!! Zwiser
Were pretty sure it's the swingarm, because there's no bearings, dust caps, and its not the right bolt, and it sorta just rocks back and forth. He had it over at my house yesterday Sent from my T8788 using Board Express
Dicklez
The chain issue could be your carrier mounts are oblonged. Loosen the carrier bolts and see if you have wiggle room when your grab the tires and shake it front to back. Stock swinger and carrier blow. I wouldnt worry too much about a hard spot when you turn the primary sprocket by hand. Just make sure you have oil in the trans and rip it. I always use what the book recommends which is 10w40 i believe. Welcome and good luck!!
