what jetting

My ole lady banshee has t5's cascade silencer no air box uni pod stock reed, stock carbs? So my question is what jetting is good for her bike currently has 300 mains stock pilot air screw 1/2 turn out. The bike idle then dies if I dont tap gas idle screw installed screwed all the way in im at sea level 80-90 degree weather help this bike is driving me nuts on getting it to run perfect.

 

 

Also my shee has 34pjs 160 main and 50 pilot still a lil rich. You guys think I should drop to a 158 main and 48 pilot not sure on the needle setting on either bikes.

On your wifes bike, the main should be in the 280-320 range so the 300 that's in there should be pretty close. Try a 27.5 pilot jet as well as 1.5 turns on the screw. Also make sure both slides are moving at the same time and that you have the tube between the two carbs connected.

Okay got the tube hooked on both carbs half turn out now its bogging like its straving for air then bout half throttle it clear up an rips

I have basically the same set-up and ran 290's at sea level in 65* weather and after 10 gallons of fuel my plugs were not wet and nice chocolate brown.

 

80-90* at sea level would be at most a 280 mains.

 

Remember hotter air is less dense which makes the jetting rich, so 300 mains is way rich IMO.

 

Try the 27.5 pilots at 1.5 turns out.
