Jonny72888
I have had it for about 9 months. its always started 2-3ed kick. But the last time I took it out it was a bitch to get started. 15ish kicks and it fired up and ran great. It starts warm first kick all the time. it has good compression and good leak down test. Plugs dont change anything. The only thing that has changed is the weather. its about 30* warmer. Anyone have any ideas?
03DMshee
what do you consider good compression
sheerider11
I have an idea. It got 30* warmer and you never mentioned changing your jetting. I could ask what pipes elevation porting and all that goods stuff and tell you what jets you should be about, but then you won't know why it works. So go to the jetting section and read up on jetting. See what you're at, where your elevation is, and see what you can get out of it. Jonny72888
I got fmf pipes and a intake. Its stock other than that. I got 27.5 and 290the im about 500ft above sea. I got 123psithe on left and 126 on the right. Leak down test held 8psi for 30minyou with no loss. I didn't think a change in temp would effect the jetting to the point it wont start. 03DMshee
air density is huge...both being a factor......
Jonny72888
But the air is thinner so wouldn't it be like having the coke on?
fastbanshee8
Are the plugs wet? Are the pilot jets clogged? How many turns open, are the air mixture screws?
Jonny72888
Plugs are wet after awhile of trying to start. Jets are all clean. Bowls are on the right side. Screws are about 1¼ turn out.
bluebanshee98
How's your spark? Was it sitting for awhile and how long? If u have stock carbs make sure the choke tube between the 2 carbs is connected good. That can make cold starting a real bitch or not even start
Jonny72888
It sat from Sunday til Thursday. Spark looks good. It runs good once it starts
