broken crank rod, major damage..............

Recommended Posts

Two fucking HUGE thumbs up for Kevin. And trust me, I'm not one to really promote .. . . . . . . . Anyways, you should be thankful he's doing that at cost. You assembled the motor, all aftermarket. He could have slammed the door on you and said F off, you did something wrong.

two thumbs up for your mom, you been running your mouth all day, stay out of my thread please.

Best of luck to you on your new build, I hope this one works out better for you. I honestly would build it myself again because you will pay closer attention this round, not that the assembly was the problem before. I think the rod simply failed under stress and could have happened to anyone. If your assembly had been the problem i think the rod would have shown signs of heat or excess wear at the bearing. You will have more satisfaction building it yourself and you can always call out for advice or info if you have any doubts.

glad to hear that..... Id also RECOMMEND seeing if he could work out some kind of deal on assembling to WHOLE motor....

Yeah, since obviously you are clueless. I would tell you to come to Cali and bore and stroke my weiner if I were Kevin. You made a mistake and now want to make it his problem? Where is the accountability here? You my friend are a builders worst nightmare. Guaranteed. But yes, once again Kevin proves that he is a good dude. beer.gif to Kevin and yankyank.gif to you.

There sho is alot of ratard in this thread.

If you honestly believe a crank rod will just SNAP while running you're out of the loop. The chances of that happening to a perfectly tuned/assembled motor are slim, to none.

Any faulty part can fail without needing any thing else to be wrong. Just judging from the pictures and what he said. Cheap parts fail in alot of applications without operator error.

how am i obviously clueless... i never said to put it all on Kevin to begin with.. people are assuming the piston was in backwards... but not one person here can 100% verify that.... way to much carnage.

who said id make it his problem... think about it... bringing some 1 a blown engine to rebuild ends up BEING THEIR PROBLEM!... cause they have to fix it... if they didnt want to do that... they wouldnt be doing it....

The guy just spent 3K at kevins shop and is going back to him again... I would imagine / bet He could work out a deal on labour not build the thing for free

So before running your mouth off... maybe try and read my posts more clearly and take a 5 to let the info sink in... builders worst nightmare... my money is as good as anyone here... IF he didnt want to deal with me he would refuse to do work for me.... :flush:

BTW... I deal with kevin for my engine... and issues... YES I contact him directly when i got a question and i spent 1/4 of what this guy did.... Kevin still sticks by and helps me no questions asked... its part of customer service and helping out his consumers wether you spent a years salary or 100$....
