jilted
Has anyone ever used or heard of anyone using a http://www.jet-hot.com/ coating on their exhaust instead of the standard chrome option? I still need to contact the company and ask them about it. I was thinking about getting a new set of Toomeys, natural finish, and sending them to Jet-Hot. thx

NOWHERE near the shine of chrome but still very nice!! jet hot also claims (i think) 3% hp grain by keeping the heat contained! i really notice inside the camaro the reduced heat from the headers! jilted
Right the chrome finish is not true chrome shiny, but since I have the black 06, I was thinking about going black! Either that or pick an accent color to repeat in different spots on the bike.
trickedcarbine
Always call the manufacturer of your pipe about doing this to your two stroke exhaust before doing this. Some pipes are shaped and contoured to move heat in a particular way, and coating a pipe to direct or hold heat might hurt the performance of the pipe. Two stroke pipes are funny and react to variables way differently then 4 stroke exhaust. This is direct knowledge from Matt Shearer. I was going to buy raw pipes to have them Nitro Plated and he firmly advised me that it would hurt the way his pipe moves heat. He has dynoed them coated and needless to say, he claims that for his pipes ceramic coating is a bad idea although it has proven to be a viable option for other manufacturers' pipes. I have a local company ( line 2 line ) that is willing to coat my rockets for free as long as it is tested asap
