bored carbs issue

Recommended Posts

So to start off my specs are

Mild porting

.040 shaved head

Force 2 reeds

+4 timing

And unfortunately T-6 pipes

Now my issue. I got a set of stock carbs that were bored out to 28mm, and now I am seeing little air gaps on each side of the slides. My bike will start on first kick but only with half or full choke. If I close the choke it starts to high rev. The carbs have 330 mains, 27.5 idles, 4th position needle clip. Am I able to put in bigger idle jet to correct the air gaps with the slides or is there another option that I can do.. Any help would be great

Thanks nick

Your only option is to jet it up.. Or get new carbs

I personally wouldn't jet to compensate. It's a temporary fix to a permanent problem. I have a set of stock carbs with the tors for sale. They came with a bike I bought. If not there is a set in the four sake section for like 50 bucks.
