banshee760
Hey guys trying to find out some info on this ... i got a 10 mill t rex cilinder pistons are at 68.42 k n t head and domes setup for alky 115 crank was wondering if blaster pistons would work with this setup instead of the t rex pistons, also if they did work will a 68.50 blaster piston work with this setup or will i have to bore out .....i bought these cilinders like this and im anxious to try em just want to know whats the best route also these cilinders had some type of spacer plate and the member ho i bought them of said to not use the plate or the t rex pistons ( ring is stuck on piston) and replace w blaster piston..... Thnx hopefully some one can come up w an answer
n2otoofast4u
Pick a builder. Send them your junk. Pay bill. Receive a good running motor!
maskmanLS6
You will have to bore them out at least. Not sure about the rest of your questions but your blaster piston is larger than your bore.

BANSHEE HP
a blasters final bore is 68.25 573mo6825, if your already at 68.50 then some other piston combo is going to be needed.

BANSHEE HP
what are you even asking? blasters pistons stop at 68.25 you saying the bore is already 68.50... so blaster pistons are out of the question. you mention a trinty 70mm piston, whats it for? is it the same pin height as a blaster? is it a trex piston? if you had a trex flat top 9521P68-70mm piston in before and try to run any piston with a domed top your in for trouble. like said above you need to send your stuff to a builder that knows what they are doing if you want the right combo of crank, piston, dome, cylinder. X2 the trex is a tricky engine. and it is damn near impossible to find pistons for them nowadays. and are you positive it is the 115 rod? the 10 mil I had was a 120 rod. measure the pin size on the existing pistons, if they are 16 mm pins then it is the 115 rod if it is 18 mm pin it is the 120 mm rod. also you can call tony Doukas he knows alot about the trex and is one of the few ppl that still has and can get parts for them. http://www.bansheedepot.com/default.asp or sell it and get a CP cylinder. Whatever you do STICK WITH ONE BUILDER.
banshee760
Yes 115 rod my question was if i could use a blaster piston with t rex cilinders .....i got my answer yes you can just have to get custom cut domes .... there is actually bigger blaster pistons up to 70 mm made by wiseco for trinity thats were im getting them from..as much as trinity down time sucks and are over price rhey carry alot of stuff that is almost impossible to find ... thnx josh ttried calling tdr it was busy most the time but i talked to shear and he is getting me all setup thnx guys
