CruelSoul Posted May 10, 2012 Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 Well I have my 2004 440ex up for trade online and I have a guy coming tomorrow to offer me a 1999 banshee I have pics below of both machines he had this banshee cause he never had a 2 stroke before well he blew it up but he has everything to do the rebuild except for wrist pin bearings/gasket kit he said already had the bore done it is at .060 over this machine looks clean as hell it has ct racing inframes,port n polish,coolhead,trinity iv 2 into 1 carb setup with k-n pod and outerwears,hot rods crank,lightened flywheel with aftermarket stator,new razor tires,nerf bars,kill switch, stock carbs,and a few extra parts like stock head,tie rods etc. should I trade him my running 440ex for this what do you guys think. Mine only needs a new solenoid and carb idleing adjusted he said he didn't care he wants it and he is driving about 2 hours to come to me. So for that reason id see if he's be willing to do the banshee and say $200-500 as your going to have to do the labor of rebuilding a bike before riding it......and before you can make sure its okay mechanically. ClayAiken Posted May 10, 2012 Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 I would do it, Just check a few things check the compression on it listen for rattles (aside from kickstarter) listen for slapping knocking and other out of the ordinary.
