jonvia
so, i jetted my bike during winter with the angled 6" pod filters and toomey t-5's. i am running a 48 piolet and 158 main. i have pj34mm carbs btw. i switched to straight pod filters today and installed a new choke/idle valve in my left carb. when i start my bike it idles high and then after a few seconds it gets real low. when you hit the throttle it makes the "burggggg" sound like its burping lol. should i lean out my piolets? my plugs are pretty rich... i turned my air/fuel screw another turn out and still bogs a bit.. what would be best to do first? T_Shee
any other stuff done to the motor? did it run fine before you did the filter and choke change? if so than something has to be up. maybe change back the choke and see what happens??? 158 is really rich unless you have other stuff done
ticktock
Im betting your idle circuit is out of sync. Since the pj idle is on the choke it could be your problem.

sheerider11
Fuck pj carbs. Just like he said, since the idle and choke are the same circuit, if I went to start the bike and I just kind of reached down and pulled the choke, I would twist it a little and fuck up my sync. And also I couldn't go by how many turns. If one was 4 turns the other might be like 5.5 and they would be synced.
hp2000
When I had my pj carbs a local shop set them up with the idle on the knob shut and just synced them with the cable adjuster. Never had problems with them after that at all and my bike ran like a champ
