bansheesandrider Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) My 95 Ford did not have any either. I added some stake pocket tie downs, the kind that pop up when you need them, just don't get the ones that use expanding rubber to hold them in. They will pull loose in a crash or if you use ratchet straps. Mine have a plate that goes inside the pocket and then the tie down bolts to the top of it. You can also add VersaTrak on the floor so you have adjustable points if you need them. Or, depending on your fab skills, you can go to the junkyard and get some out of a newer or other brand truck and adapt them to yours. Edited May 5, 2012 by bansheesandrider Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 My 96 Chevy didn't have any bed hooks either....so I bought some stainless door handles (Like your cabinets have ) for up in the front of the bed and found some toolbox handles for the area in back of the bed and they have worked great for 10 years. (I found everything I needed at Home Depot.) I got the two different styles because I measured the size of the structural metal that was available to mount brackets to, and those two designs had holes at the right points needed. Quote
rubberneck Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 http://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/product/54/TruckBedRails http://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/product/18/AnchorPlates These are the ones you want man. clean and strong easy to use. My dad has the full length rails on the inside of the bedrails and has a couple of the single point anchors in the middle of the bed and they are the shit. If you dont want to do the rail system just put one of the single anchors in each corner of the bottom of the bed. The mount isnt much higher than the rib in the bed, so when you have the anchors out they are not in the way at all. I have a similar system called "slide n lock" but they are a pain in the ass to move and you have to put the anchors in from the end and slide them where you want them. Quote
