warped plates will make it doo that too. :shrugani:

Well it's to late for that check. These things are blued, warped, distorted, totally cooked. But when I took a close look at the steels I could see hot spots but like I said, that could of happened after the clutch took a shit.

I have been through this ! it could be as simple as a stretched cable, or not ! like Larry said it could be your inner and or you outer hub , I like to change them when I put a new clutch in , or if they still look to be in good shape take them to a machine shop and have them cut down just enough to put a new surface on them . also when you are first setting up the clutch adjust the pointer on the clutch arm at the case so it starts to touch about 1/4 to 3/16" before the the arrow on the case ! " I hope that make sence " .

I'm gonna get a new cable, hub, pressure plate, basket, fibers, steels, whatever I can get.

Fast hubs

The hubs are pretty cheap believe it or not ! I think I buy them from fast , hell I would call jeff and have him set you up with a complete fast clutch , I pulled my hair out when I was going thru this, and the fix for me ended up being the hubs also adjustment is plays a big factor , no matter what its gunna creep alittle

That is exactly what I did and put it together over the weekend. Billet basket, inner hub, pressure plate w/ springs and your steels and pads. Basket comes with new back plate and screws, all you have to do is grind the rivets off your old basket (from the back, gear side) and punch them out to get your primary driven gear off. Put it back together with the included screws and you are ready to reassemble the clutch. I have not had my quad very long and did not ever feel any slip, I just did not have the pull I thought it should have when shifting. After I put the new FAST clutch in I thought I had a new quad, I grabbed 2nd gear and the bitch stood straight up!!! You will not be disappointed for the small money invested. Good luck and don't forget to get the pancake bearing

That was no help. I'm gonna get a new cable and go with bel ray. I had type f but fuck that. I just don't get why it was starting to grab on its own. Pissin me off.

its the clutch adjuster in the center of the clutch its too tight or loose one of the 2
