willardwright59 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Share Posted April 10, 2012 i bought a 1999 yamaha banshee here is the modification list; MOTOR 392cc athena kit 19cc domes +4 timing Vf3 reeds 28mm carbs water pump impellar pro circuit pipes (cut silencers) SUSPENSION stock shocks front wheel spacers +2 rear axle +4 extension on stock swingarm BODY (looks) stainless bolts custom visible clutch cover PC yellow frame Yellow fuel lines and vent lines Pro elite front bumper twist throttle 22 inch rear tires +more im forgetting the bike currently does not run, it needs a coil. buddys moving to the city, dont have room for a trail quad. total price is $3600. SPARE PARTS 64.50 trail ported cylinders wiseco piston kit for cylinders trinity coolhead 20cc domes ported cases k&n pro flow filter port matched cases beadlock rims D.I.D gold chain Fat bars anti-vibration steering stem 13t-17t front sprockets 38t-42t rear sprockets yfz450 brakes all are "spare parts" because they are not on the bike yet, most will go on but some will be sold. bike does ripp when i throw my stock coil on it. questions: athena 392cc kit, who has ran these on trails? what size carbs would benifit this current set up? this being a hardcore trail/dirt road race bike, what gearing would make it faster than others? alot of work is going to be put into this bike. im just needing some help from the pro's while im setting this up. Do yourself a favor, before you do ANYTHING regarding the motor, or further modifying the motor: Get those wheel spacers out of there, and get that swingarm off the bike before you kill yourself.
