skippy
the other day i was out riding in my pasture and it felt like my chain was trying to jump a little and then somthing locked up in the transmission can wont allow the quad to move under its own power but it will run and idle all day after taking the chain off. so i guess my question is, does any one know of a good place to get transmissions of banshee or does any one know what else could be wrong

I went with WCR, Great customer service, great price, great product. Hope this helps.
locogato11283
You'd be better staying away from WCR. It's hit or miss with them. Really, you need to tear it apart and see what's wrong. It could just be a shift fork.
Mustang_Gay81
Banshee has the simplest trans to work on of any bikes or atvs ive had shouldnt be hard once you open it up to see whats not playing well with the others.
Larry's Shee
Unless I'm sofa we todd did, your description sounds more like the axle, because it seems fine with chain off. Or maybe take the pressure plate off the clutch and try spinning a shaft and shift it thru the gears. Might save you unecessary work, or confirm you have to pull the motor. skippy
even with the chain off and if u put it in gear it dont sound to good and neutral is messed up allsoit will rotate a little and then bind up so that why i was guessing the tranny
Starwriter
Sounds like the tranny is pretty screwed, but to know for sure, you need to dig into it a bit. Drain the tranny oil and see if steel chunks fall out. If so, it's screwed. If not, do as Larry suggested. You're gonna have to pull the clutch to split the cases anyway. Regardless, I wouldn't buy a tranny till you get it apart and see what's going on.
