dunable overide problem

i bought this overide used and it doesnt seem to be going into 5th gear.. anyone want to help me figure out whats wrong or what i need to do to fix it?

i was told that what im calling 6th is actually 5th but i guess the shift drum is cut wrong and goin to 6th and not 5th?? :confused:

yes it is removed. i notice that it does move towards fifth i think i need a modified shift fork :blink:

Then why does it continue to move the shift fork each time you shift it at the end? After you're in 5th, the shift shaft pawl should gleefully hook on nothing each time you shift it, right?
