sheerider11
anyone do this on there banshee?? I know that its big in high horsepower cars. basically its getting the plug to face the way you want so when it ignites it can burn a certain pattern. I heard you can squeak a little power out of this.or is this one of those things that people say it helps and they just have a prefrence? Dicklez
Sounds like a waste of time. Dont think it much matters which way your plugs face.
Phelps
it is a hemispherical shaped dome. the reason you index a car plug is because the combustion chamber is no where near perfectly round. by indexing they are attempting to create a better burn pattern (truer burn) there is 0 to gain by indexing a hemispherical dome. same reason "hemi" engines were so popular. they get their name from having the plug in the center of the hemi-spherical dome. That's the answer I was looking for. Thanks.
