erickson483
I'm building my first shee and really don't know much about the advantages/disadvantages of advancing the timing. My motor is stock stroke and .080" over (so it's on its last leg). I have the basic bolt ons like pipes, reeds, pods. I already need to buy a new timing plate so should i get an adjustable plate and go +4 or leave it stock? I mostly do trail riding and some WOT stuff on back roads. zach45
Go plus 4. Can't go wrong. Use 91/93. What ever is available at the pump

Lowflyin
Go plus 4 and make sure your jetting is good. Banshees come timed stock assuming bad jetting and shitty fuel
zach45
I ran mine up to 179 and it broke up real bad twords the top end... I would just go plus four
slothman
be careful with advanced timing...too much and the motor could pop REAL fast. Keep it at +3 to +4 degrees, and run the highest octane you can from the pump (not shitty cheap gas either). Listen for pinging/detonation. Check your plugs too for signs of detonation.
