well I haven't done a stator test in a few years, but I do know that if the GREEN and RED wire show open or grounded the stator is done. But its been a while. Do you have a manual? It can be the best 20 bucks to spend. There's someone with more specific knowledge than me about stators, they'll chime in soon. Good luck.

Just checked my Clymer sunday on this. When you test your wires you are supposed to get around .26-.32 ohms........or something close to that

Hey you should really check out the Tech info forum in here. There is a thread titled Banshee electrical FAQ. Member tedd1 put together a seriously nice post that can probably answer any question you ever thought you had about you banshee electrical. Its got all kind of info on the stator and how to test it. Check it out, heres the link or just go to the tech info section

lighting coils should ohm somewhere under 1 ohm.. usually .3 to .8 ohms.. ignition side should be anywhere from 14 to 20 ohms.. test the ignition side for a short to ground.. if its bad i can rewind it for a fee.. it will be a new stator made with quality wire.. not the shitty wire you get on a ricky stator..
