You clean and oil the filter you dont replace. I run an outerwear on my K&N that u take out and run under the sink. I would just clean and oil when it looks shitty or before a long ride theres no set time when it should be done.

bluebanshee98
welcome to the forum. when you clean it will depend on how long you ride, what conditions ect. if your riding with your buddys and theres alot of sand in the air or your behind them then of course your air filter is going to get dirty quicker. staying in front will help post pone the time when you need to clean it and will avoid the dreaded boulders getting kicked back at you. i know first hand my light got cracked a few days ago lol but it was a great time. if it looks really dirty clean it. dont forget to clean the airbox too if you have one. think of it as your lungs. the cleaner it is the better you will breath. same with the motor.
