pretty new to banshee's

currently have a 2003 banshee with t-6's, k&n w/pro flow adapter, +4 timing plate, wiseco pistons, milled head, billet impeller. everything else is stock. with tax my money coming back soon i have been looking at doing some more to it and was wondering what i should do next because it doesnt seem as fast as it should be. mainly ride trails but some dune riding. i was looking into reeds/reed cages, porting the cylinders, bigger carbs, llighter flywheel, boring the cylinders, sprocket changes, etc. any help would be appreciated.

Porting is going to be the best power increase for the money IMO. I had Wildcard Racing port my dune bike and I love it.

One thing to consider before porting, I have heard the T-6's don't respond well to a ported motor. Might be something to looking into, I'm no T-6 expert though. I've always ran CPI.

I wouldn't bother with bigger carbs until you do some porting. Also, you can run stock carbs just fine on a ported motor as well. I've seen motors run up to about 65-70HP with stock carbs.

Whats your budget? A cool head with some smaller domes would help give you a little more compression (not sure how far your stock head is milled) I'd look into doing a 4mil with a dune port setup from Kevin at HJR (on the site sponsors list) if ya got the money.

But I definately agree with the other guys above port work is where the power is for the money.

Good Luck with the build!

4mil is a Aftermarket crank usually made by Hot Rods which is 4 millimeters over the standard stroke. With your budget i would throw a 4mil in there and port it. A 4mil crank will run you around 465 for one. You can call up Jeff from FAST the 4mil page is HERE if your handy you should be able it drop it in yourself if your not confident jeff can do it. I would get a4 mil and port the cylinder. Youll never look back again. Again thats the expensive route the other way to go would be Port the cylinders for your riding style for now and do a 4mil later on.
