06bluebanshee
Hi I tried installing my Noss head this evening but I don't see any dowell pins in the package? It's a 2 piece head and it has holes for the pins on the head, but NO dowell pins included? Maybe they forgot to give them to me? Or do they not come with any pins? Anyone know. Thanks. 06bluebanshee
Hi guys, I know they use stock studs. But my friend was over and he is a senior mechanic at a Yamaha dealership and he was giving me a hand doing my top end. When he was looking at the head, he said that 2 piece heads are suppose to have dowell pins that act like guides when holding the two pieces together? Maybe he's wrong I don't know? He shoulded me the little holes in the head where hje said the pins sit. So I guess I will call Noss tomorrow and see what they say.

06bluebanshee
Yeah I'm pretty sure Noss would of provided them if they were needed. My friend refused to put the head on without them. So I will just wait until I get a 100% sure answer.

Man-O-Steele
Are you refering to the recess around each head stud? If you are each one of those gets an o ring. The domes and the head studs line the 2pcs up. Did you happen to get instructions?
locogato11283
Your friend is a senior mechanic dumbass. There are no dowels with the NOSS head. The head studs act as a guide.
06bluebanshee
I just talked to David Noss and he said you don't need dowell pins for this head. I guess my friend from Yamaha was wrong. Thanks for the help guys!
