mhoksch
I just bought a used set of Lonestar +3 a-arms today, now I need shocks. I'm trying to find some used shocks and I was wondering if shocks that are set up for +2 arms will work with these, or am I stuck actually spending some money and buying new? Deuce
First off, need to know that your arms are standard or long travel. I believe lonestar only offers them in long travel for the banshee. If the shocks are the proper length for the arms, then the shocks will work, but the ride quality may vary. First off, +3 arms are putting added leverage on those shocks in comparison to +2 arms, so the shocks will be softer all else aside. It also depends on what your weight is and what the shocks are valved for.
dave5.0
I've got an older set of +3s. They are for stock length shocks. I've been running yfz shocks with em and they're too long. At full droop the toe in gets crazy. So you'll wanna know what length shock they're set up for.

mhoksch
I'm looking at a few cheap used sets of works shocks for now. Then maybe in a few months ordering some new elkas. Im just a cheap ass and don't want to spend that much $ right now.

Deuce
If you are considering an upgrade in shocks within a few months, just save yourself the money and hassle and just get them now
