fastforworddad
I have searched and read what many have had to say concerning this topic. I think I am close to a decision, but really want to hear what some of you have to say, preferably the guys with +4's, +5's(if there is such a thing), and +6's. Want to hear all the advantages as well as the trade offs and disadvantages from those that have experienced them first hand. My bike will be a ridden on the dunes only with occasional hill climb or drag race, but primarily free range dune exploring but still want to retain some of the bikes handling characteristics. Any input will be appreciated. Wayne
Wildcard2
Food for thought: We have a 4mil set up for aggressive dune riding and drag with a +4 makes keeping the front end down a little tricky but it is awesome for turning and handeling the dunes, we have a 4mil for Dune riding and ocational hill racing on a +6 takes the dunes and woops like a caddy, and it aids in keeping the front end down while hill shooting, Or there are the guys that love to have the front end up that run a +2 or stock. It really is going to depend on what and how hard you ride your bike.
fastforworddad
Thanks, I have a case on its way to Jeff as I type for a 4mil and other goodies haven't decided on yet but anyway I would say my style is somewhat aggressive, just want to be able kick the ass end out at will. Haven't had the opportunity to dune this bike yet, trying to get it ready for a couple trouble free seasons overseas. Wayne
wfobasheeboy
I dune with a +6 & love it!
dcalsv02
With the right paddle setup, you can get a +4,+6, probably even a +8 to slide out with ease.
jayzx10r
If you're duning, then you are probably running V paddles. If that's the case, you don't have to worry about snapping wheelies all the time like the guys that have Haulers do. All I ride are dunes at Glamis with occasional racing and I'm more than happy with my +2 swinger. I've ridden a +6 and hated it. Even a +4 was crappy comparatively to my setup to me. It felt like there was a hinge in the ass end. My vote is to run the shortest you can...for me that turned out to be a +2.
06specialedition
I debated forever between a +4 and +6. I ended up getting a +4 arm from Tim @ Stellar and I couldn't be happier. Dunes great!
fastforworddad
Nice bike, have you done the dc conversion, just see a bunch of light up front there? If you're duning, then you are probably running V paddles. If that's the case, you don't have to worry about snapping wheelies all the time like the guys that have Haulers do. zachass9
IMHO a plus 4 is the best for duning, anything longer and you lose some maneuverability in the trails. I run a plus 6 on my serval and love it, but all I do is open duning and some drag racing!! Z
