ok im sure this is been covered a million times and to each his own bla bla . but id like to get new input on which would be the better trail/power lines option. i have a ported stock cyliner stock crank setup with all the bolt ons now. im ether thinking 4mm serval/ or 4mil ported stock or what im leaning towards is a 4mm with big bore sleeves and porting . . what do guys think? and why ? thanks once again

I would say to stay away from big bore stock cylinders because you actually loose a lot of the transfers. Every bit that you bore out for those larger sleeves is what you loose from those transfers. This problem has been cured in other aftermarket casts.

Serval is a great way to go without a doubt. A cylinder that needs little porting and creates great power. Go 4mil stock cylinder. If you want more power later you can change to the 68mm bores of Serval/Cub. 4mil ported cylinders will sell decently on the site to pay for the serval cylinders.

Hope that helps!

I must say I love my serval. It comes on very fast and clean and holds power well. I love the fact that I can be almost at a dead stop in 3rd gear go wfo and be back in the power band in moments. I vote serval

What do you need to do to go Serval ? What do you need to buy ? What kind of money are we looking at to go serval from your basic .20 bored stock cylinders ?

Any links to parts as to what you need ?

2100 with porting + seals and clutch/water pump gaskets.

Hope that helps,

Yeah I got everything from Jeff at FAST. That's about what I spent for EVERYTHING including carbs. Then I sold my stock cylinders, crank and toomey pipes and got some nice rocket pipes and now she runs beautifully. Ran pretty good with the T5s and stock carbs, but ALOT better with the 35pwk carbs and rocket pipes.
