honda863
Hi I am building a drag 350 motor and going to run a pvl I bought and was wondering if anyone on here runs lights with there pvl ignitions?? I know that they dont have the lighting coil in them, but was wondering if anybody has either found some battery powered strong headlights or maybe modified the stator in order to run them?? Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance

Talk to MattSCSS like Coup said. Matt will point you in a direction of a small battery that would last with some low aH draw lights.
So Cal Suspension
Talk to MattSCSS like Coup said. Matt will point you in a direction of a small battery that would last with some low aH draw lights. I'll just post in here. My 10w LED lights draw .86A each. 950 Lumens, and are about 3x as bright as stock lights, or traditional Trail Tech lights, and only about $25 each more. They are $99ea, shipped. You can get an 18ah SLA battery on eBay for about $40 shipped. The 18ah would run two of my lights for approx. 10 and a half hours on a full charge. For most people, that would be an entire weekend trip. My LED's operate on 9-50v, so you may even get a longer than 10.5 hours run time. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-18Ah-Sealed-Lead-Acid-SLA-AGM-Replacement-Battery-/270913680203?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item3f13b6b34b

Snopczynski
I sell a 12v lithium ion 6ah battery. It weighs less than 1Lb. It is small enough to fit in the spot under the seat of the banshee where the factory toolbox goes. It also comes with a charger.
Paulie B
I run 2 R/C car stick packs for 16.8v to my leds. They both fit in my airbox.
