350 screamer Posted February 19, 2012 Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 i wanna cut the canister down. what end do i cut it off of? can i cut it off the end where the stinger goes to the cannister? or do i have to take off the end cap? locogato11283 Posted February 19, 2012 Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 Years ago I did this to my Rocket silencers.. Here's what you need to do.. 1. Take the silencers off the bike. 2. Remove the end cap by drilling out the rivets. 3. Pull out the center tube and packing. 4. Cut off the desired amount of the aluminum silencer housing. 5. Cut the SAME amount out of the center tube. 6. Put tube and packing back in the silencer housing. 7. Install end cap with small self tapping or machine screws. 8.
