CrazyBRONCOguy
The only reason they do not extend as far as the full flights is becuse of where the shock mounts to the arm, as in the fullflight mount is 1" (aprox.) higher then the Alba mount. I don't think the fullflights have any more travel then the Alba's, they just make the quad sit higher in the front. This is assuming that the frame will not bottom out with the Alba's which I do not know yet. I am awaiting Alba's answer as to what the LT shock length is suppose to be for these arms. I was figuring for an 18" ish shock and yes that would make it even with the fullflights, as far as how far down the lower arm goes, like in my comparison pic

Azryll
@ CrazyBRONCOguy can you measure the ride height up front from the ground to the bottom of the frame? I can't tell it if sits just a little lower or much further because of the bumpber. Thx
CrazyBRONCOguy
I can yes, you want from the ground to where on the frame?
Azryll
I can yes, you want from the ground to where on the frame? The bottom of the front of the frame either where the bumper is or if yours is in the way between the where the lower a arm bolts on.Thx
Wertzy
I'm very interested in how these actually perform. Wondering how YFZ450 shocks would work on them until I save up for Elka's also...
CrazyBRONCOguy
I got 11" even to the center of the lower a-arm bolt, the one furthest foward. I've got it set a little low as I like it like that on the track, also for referance i have 21" front tires.

I went out and measured my stock a arms and got 11.5" and resting sag with no weight on the bike and 12.5" and full height extension (thats with 21" fronts and the same measuring point you used). Which did you measure yours at? If it was at resting sag and was only .5" difference thats not bad. The lowered look in the pic could just be angle and the bumper you have, at least thats what I was hoping.
CrazyBRONCOguy
That 11 was resting sag as you called it. I measured it with the wieght of just the bike on it, I have not gotten a full hiegth extension measurement yet. I will try and get that other measurement this week sometime. In other words it looks like its only .5" differance from stock, which could be just in the way the preload is set on the Elka shocks I am using right now. swhitey917
How do you think these a-arms would perform on an mx track? because of the shape of the gullwing
CrazyBRONCOguy
I think they will be fine, I will let you know. Im not a hard core mx rider or anything but might be better then nothing to compare too. I plan to ride mine on the track here in the next couple of weeks

swhitey917
does the shape of these arms change your ride height at all? They recommend an 18.5" LT shock for my yfz but if these make the quad sit higher then would i need to offset the extra height by installing a shorter front shock, i.e. 18", etc.
