11AGUY Posted February 13, 2012 Report Share Posted February 13, 2012 5FK-82530-00-00 STOP SWITCH ASSY I am putting the clutch back together and put the cover on and have the stop switch assembly hanging down and can't remember how this thing hooks in... it appears as if it hooks onto one of the clutch cover screws... anyone have any pics... is this thing necessary??? can you unplug this and still get the machine to run??? Starwriter Posted February 14, 2012 Report Share Posted February 14, 2012 Here is how most of it goes. The hook on the end hooks to the tab on the inside surface of the brake pedal. There is a small tab with a hook on it that goes under the clutch cover bolt by the kicker to kind of stabilize the crooked rod. It will run without the switch, but it's kind of nice to let your buddy behind you know that you're stopping, so he doesn't ass end you and shove you over the cliff you just barely stopped for. The better way to have a brake switch is with a banjo bolt pressure switch. You can buy them on ebay or from rocky mountain atv. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
