ClayAiken
Hi i got my banshee the other day and the right side quite insert (Fat Boy 2's) is not completely in. The right side smokes a little more than the left. Its not a huge difference and im not noticing any power problems it idles fine doesn't bog or anything. I wasn't sure if i was looking at an adjustment on my left/right carb's or im looking at something motor wise. I have not done a compression test yet. I just wanted some opinions on it. Should i worry about it like i said its not a huge difference or is it something i need to jump into? What do you guys think. Im going to do a compression test once i find the meter . sstaton1983
The right side crank seal might be leaking causing trans oil to burn in the right cylinder. Are you running oil or trans fluid?check and see if your low on the dip stick. also could be head gaskit leak depending on the color of the smoke. The dipstick is all good running right in normal range. Im not sure whether its tranny fluid or oil. I might drop the plug see if its regular or not. The smoke is not discolored at all just the normal white. How bad is that crank seal do i need to open the case and shit? Just where the insert isnt in all the way it may be packing. Thanks man.
sheerider11
do a leak down. take the rad cap off, if you got bubbles then you obviously have a leak. if you cant hold any air, then you obviously have a leak.

I just realized the Antifreeze is low. What would make it burn antifreeze?
ClayAiken
So from what ive been reading im burning antifreeze on the right side. Should be an easier fix just pull of the coolhead replace o ring and im done?

Pull the plug you should be able to tell if theres been A/F in there.
Jereme6655
If you are running an aftermarket head then yes its just o-rings that may be pinched or damaged. If its a stock head then you need a stock head gasket. You should be able to tell by the spark plug......if it looks alot cleaner than the left plug then its burning it.....same with the piston top. I just pulled the plugs and each of them were around equal but i could smell antifreeze on the plug. That must be the problem then. Im going to fill it with antifreeze and see if it goes down at all after i ride it.
