530 rear sprocket

Recommended Posts

What are you running that you need 530? Couple things to remember. You can run 530 chain on 520 rear sprocket. If you put a 530 in the rear it will throw off your alignment front to back. If you are running a JJ&A they offer the new style HD hub that the sprocket mounts to the outside that needs no modification to run the 530 stuff without alignment issue. Just some things to think about if your going to make the jump to the big stuff..

I'm working on a winter custom project. The front sprocket and the chain are a 530 but my rear is the complete banshee back end. Are you positive that I can run the 520 banshee sprocket on the the 530 chain ? Is there any draw back to doing this? Does it wear the chain and sprocket out faster? Could the chain slip off the rear sprocket? I see these guys running sport bike engines in banshee frames. Do they just use the stock 520 sprocket or change to a 530? Thanks for the good info.

Yes.. 520/530 are the same roll. Obviously you cant run 520 chain on 530 sprockets but you can go the opposite way. If you are putting a conversion together the offset of the added rear sprocket width wont matter because you can set the motor wherever it needs to be for the alignment. There is an american spec chain that is also the same roll as 520/530 that has the width of the 530..
