Stock air cleaner system

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to make the stock air filter system not sutch a piece of shit? I am only worried about the sealing off of the cage against the box. I figure the lid helps hold cage against the box but cant see how well because the lid is on. Ha. But anyway I went to a local hardware store and bought sum self adhesive weatherstrip and used it between the filter cage and box. Is there a better way to have a sure seal with lid on and stock components ? Just wondering trying to protect a soon to be new engine but need to retain lid and stock filter if possible. Thanks for any proven suggestion.

Buy a Pro Flow adapter and bolt it to the airbox. Then you can go lidless when you want to and put the lid on when it is muddy and wet riding.
