SonOfSand
Can someone that knows the difference in cylinders please explain, cubs to super cubs, servals and cheetahs, etc. Which one is best for what style of riding? cost(roundabout), who is the best sponsor to purchase from? Thanks guys There are stock cylinders, the cheetah line, and twister. here is the link to the Cheetah line. Tell me what style of riding you want to do, other wise I could spend all day going through all the different setups. Cheetah cubs are best bang for the buck and use all the parts you might already have. super cubs are just a big bore cheetah cub. cheetah, cheetah dm, and cheetah dmx use power valved cylinders, usually bigger bores, and require more modification, different heads, domes, reeds. http://www.cpindinc.com/
BigRed350x
I think there was a post about this about a month ago and I took the time to post pics of all the different cylinders out there. Do a quick search and you might be able to find it. - Jared

04zSpittinKlotz
http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=148750 I agree with loco in this thread, we need a thread in the tech info page. maybe something like all CPI cylinders with bore x stroke x rod = this displacement. EX. cheetah cub = mostly for ...... (this type of riding) 64x54x110 = 347 -------- ----- -------- super cub = ----- ----- ----- wampus= ----- ---- ---- ---- serval= ----- ---- ---- something like this, and then setup styles/recommendations then maybe a different page for each type of cylinder mfg. - vitos, twister ect. ect.... 04zSpittinKlotz
That's already done for you.... http://www.cpindinc.com/pub/part_list?manufacturer=3 ok but not exactly,,, the serval is not on that page and theres no supporting mods or pipes. also pages of info on other manufacturers i think that is what this guy was looking for what cylinder does what, not just pictures of them ya im sure it would be quite a write up but would be worth it for everyone to be able to halfway quickly decide what cylinders do what and what mods go with it also people who already have the setup can reply with what they have and how they like it instead of everyone on different thread titles saying "oh i have this" its a mess trying to search through the threads and everyone with different setups has conflicting opinions. this way only people who run CPI could reply on the cpi page, people who run twister could reply on that page

If someone did make a write-up like you're talking about it would be full of conflicting opinions. I can set up a 10mil cub for dune riding and a stock-stroke stock cyl for drag racing. It wouldn't tell you what cylinders do what and what mods work with what cylinders, because its a constant variable situation dependant on what the end-user is trying to do with the stuff. 421alkybanshee
thanks for the replys, ill do some checking on these cylinders a little harder. I figured each different set probably offered different hp ranges like rpm ranges to low end power to high end power to power throughout the entire rpm range....What im more leaning towards is somthing different than what I have done in the past. I used to run a stock crank with stock cylinders ported to a dune play port by dan at A&S, it run on alcohol and was a very nice quad at 83 hp on the dyno. I currently run a 421 cub on alcohol that i am running mid 11's in the 1/4 mile at 106 mph. Ive got another 04 banshee that is bone stock with probably 30 hrs on it that just has fmf gnarly pipes on it that im having trouble with as for deciding what to do with it....My style of riding for this bike will be a split between going fast and going faster! Whats the best bang for the buck out there for riding with my kid on his banshee(smoking him on his, which I built last year for him) and the occassional drag racing possibly at the dunes to riding hard out in my trails in the woods? I dont ride through mud or water, so I guess i only ride when its nice outside. Any help is much appreciated. If your wondering what I built for my son it would be a stock stroke hot rod crank, stock cylinders that are not touched, v force reeds, 28 pwk's, on gas. I would like to run gas if possible(just because it will run longer on a tank) but im not ruleing out alcohol for my bike build.

sheerider11
Send the stockers out to be ported and get a 4 mil.
421alkybanshee
kinda what i thought, but wasnt sure if maybe i should go with another set of cubs? Thanks, i think ill go with a full drag port with v force, cpi inframes, dont know which carbs yet, probably pwk's just dont know which size yet and a billet basket with a lockup. Probably also will stay on race fuel instead of alcohol this time
