I know you can make them street legal down there. When I lived down there, I had a buddy that had a banshee that was street legal. I'm pretty sure it has to pass emissions before it can be street legal. Make sure the Carbs are tuned dead nuts (or maybe just a touch lean) and maybe run premium or some race fuel to make sure it runs clean. Make sure the bike is warm also. It will also need a mirror and a brake light. I hope someone will chime in if I'm giving inaccurate info.

I have my 450R street legal in Tucson. All they required me to do is install a left hand mirror, electric horn, and lighted license plate. Now if your banshee is older you will need to get everything off of a newer one, so you have the brake light. DOT tires are "required" but as long as you have street tires you won't get messed with, and I even see guys riding on knobbys all the time.

I didn't have to do any emissions tests or inspections but that may be because I bought my 450 new... I'm not sure.

As far as I know, Arizona is the only state that allows the registration and use of ATV's, Golf Carts, UTV's, Sand Rails, for on road use... Sand Rails may get a full size plate if they are over 1800 lbs, but everything else gets a Motorcycle plate & is registered as such. I know there are other cities across America that allow ORV's to obtain some sort of registration, and operate on the street, but just no place like AZ. As far as the license... since the US sees everything with more than 3 wheels as an automobile, then that is the only license you need.

Update . Ok yesterday I went to the mvd I got a 3 day permit that allows me to only go to emmisions or to the repair shop. (Yea right!) Haha... I crused the west side of phoenix during traffic hour is was GREAT!

Now I'm stressing about emission's I'm not quite sure if they test for anything besides exhast fumes. I'm going to run it on alcohol
