willardwright59
Nice man! Who did your porting? And what kind of port is it?
DwnSouth
Me and a friend collaborated on this after seeing other builders work. We call it the Womack port! Needs to be bored but we ran it like this to try it. I have a full drag HJR port job on a 4mil long rod. We tried these on a stock stroke bike same setup on alky. I ran 1 hundred of a sec faster on the 4 mil. I think we did ok! Here's the exaust.

DwnSouth
Transfers... We wanted as much updraft as possible. Look at the ports into the transfer from cylinder wall. Borrowed that from another reputable builder here.

DwnSouth
ALOT of builders say in there opinion u can't make those "big enough" so we tried to get them WTFO!
BigRed350x
Y'all see the tunnel we cut into boost port..... My idea! Lol Actually I think that was Jim @ Passion Racings' idea.
DwnSouth
I haven't seen jims intakes. I borrowed the side port into transfer from Jim, but intake tunnel my idea. Not claiming it hasn't been done, sure it has but just did that when porting. Just seemed like a good idea to me...

DwnSouth
"borrowed".................. Lol, dwnsouth's 12 port porting? Hey I had "took" in there and rephrased! Come on guys it's not like I'm jumping in here charging people to port! I pay for my porting on my bike just like you guys!! This was a set I had and decided to mess around with them. To see if I could make them fly like some of our builders! Btw is DwnSouths 10port!! Don't hate cuz your hand ain't as steady as mine!! Seriously this shit is a tremendous amount of work and getting in those windows is a killer! There are many hours of cuttn here! Everybody who learned to port started somewhere. Somebody either showed them what worked or they copied something known to perform. I have the greatest amount of respect for Kevin ,Jeff, Jim, Andy, and all the guys we use. These jugs are not even close to the uniformed work on my HJR set. BUT they are as good or better than some others iv seen here for sale claiming to be ported by Pros! I'm gonna try these huge ports with bigger carbs and drag pipes to see if I can get them to pick up a little more. DwnSouth Racing.....hmmm. I like the sound of that..... Pat pending 1685635. It's a joke. Let the bashing begin!! Lol

DwnSouth
We are just giving you some shit man. The work looks good for your first set. Well not really first set.... Iv been having my banshee since 2000. Iv ported a few sets but never really put this much time in them. Also I can't take all the credit was me and one of my drag racing bruthas worked on them together. We looked at mine from HJR and his from a local guy ( coony )That builds some fast 350's. One of his bikes qualified 5 out of 17 bikes at Planet sand a few years back. Stock oem frame (not cut on) , stock axle n hubs, stock stroke, stock jug, stock milled head, stock a-arms, 2o over bore, 38 lecterns on alky ran 4.21. So we kinda cheated! Like I said before there's more to makin a bike fast than just cuttn. Where to cut , how to get in there, angles, durations....... Give it up to our builders they work fir the money is for sure. I'll be drag porting for 75% of whatever your builder charges!!! Again kidding. Thanks Bigred
