RadarRacing
Whether or not its lean or rich is impossible to tell over that internet. What do your plug chops look like? If they are good then you are fine.
DaweOne
havent had time to go out on this set up runs fine in the shed but juste put the pipes on and the filter use to be ported and stock pipes whit air box lid and k&n cant wait to try it now sounds amazing tho ! Larry's Shee
Seeing that you've changed setup, with current temps I'd start at 330, 320 min and go from there. Better to trash a few plugs for plug chops or foul a few out, still cheaper than pistons. You'll see a W T F difference with pipes.
DaweOne
cool thx but before tha pipes and what not i was runing 250 mains and 25 pilots and it was perfect now i jetted at 290 and 30 pilots !today is like -3 out and when i start it up one kik whit full choke flip it right of runs perfect when i pull back on choke it wants to die every thing in carbs is new and all cleand perfectly
DaweOne
runs perfect on start up whit no choke
Larry's Shee
That could be due to pilot jets. 25 is stock, most use 27.5 with most pipes. Running nice in shed has nothing to do withWOT with a load on it. My son's is unported 4mil, head spacer, FMF Golds, no lid 310s@70*f, that would make it min 330 if I ran today. Mikuni pocket calculator: one size larger for every 20*f drop in temp. Do what you feel best, plugs are still cheaper than pistons, it's possible to melt a piston before you go far enough to do a plug chop or even check it. JMHO, your results may, and will vary. DaweOne
use to be pilot 25 on bone stock whit aggresive ports since the pipes and the pro designe filter whit no lid ive swap 30 pilots in whit the 290 mains keeping in mind its - 5 to - 15 down here and for the shed part i ment it does not sleep in the heat and still starts perfect whit no choke beffor the pipes and the filter i needed a choke full on to start and still had a hard time but on the plug chop it was perfect so im loocking to going for a ride tomorrow and do a plug chop juste wondering why now it starts like a beauty whit no choke thx

RadarRacing
Start with 340-350 or so, you are running in seriously cold weather. I think anything in the 200s could be lean in those temps if you are in lower elevation. Start in the mid 300s and junk down a few if the ring is black but start rich.
