350 screamer
went to start up the shee after i was all done today first few min i swear it was runnin fine, then the left side was cutting out, and it was just runnin on the right, i took off the pipe looked up at the piston and there was a little liquid runnin down the side of the piston, its getting to much fuel, i just changed the jets before i put it all together, im at 280, and the right side sounded fine, its just the left side, i dont get it.... WTF, i checked the spart its getting spark, its either gotta be to much fuel, or not enough air, im thinking pilot jet? to 27.5? maybe my mods are 4mill 5mm long rod +4 timing FMF fattys and silencers .20 over bore shift star and im roughly at 500- 637 ft above sea level

How are you running the gas lines too? start wit as much basic stuff as you can. the oil dripping down is just because it isn't burning. My bike backfired and blew the reeds out when I burnt up the harness. hope you dont have any serious problems

Bittner
Have you checked to see if the carbs are in sync? I had about the same problem with mine an that's what it turned out to be. See if both the carbs slides are landing at the same time an goin up at the same time when u hit the throttle. There's a couple good videos of how to do it on YouTube. Edited February 1, 2012 by Bittner
Jereme6655
I think part of your problem is your jetting. Mine ran like crap when I first picked it up.....mainly because the previous owner had installed FMF fatties and had not changed the jetting. So my symptoms where it would run.....seemed like it wounded off....kinda off when idling but it was still running alright......and if I wanted to move it I had to feather the shit out of it and really pump the throttle to get it up to anything more than 1/4 throttle. And whenever I let off the throttle from 1/4 throttle it would cut one of the cylinders out. I wasn't sure if it was doing it at idle at first because I hadnt paid that much attention to it at first......then I realized it was also cutting out when returning to idle from a rev up. Hopped on the HQ here and figured out I needed bigger pilots. The FMF fatties like a 27.5 pilot.....go get a set from a dealer or from a sponsor (preferably) and slap em in and let us know!
