willardwright59
I have my new yamaha banshee apart and am going to do up my frame. The plastic colors are yellow and grey (my favorite of all the banshees) so i think im going to do my main frame yellow and my a arms and swingarm black bc those seem to get chipped more often. And im also trying to cut some unneeded shit off of it. I got rid of the parking brake and tors, so i was wondering if i could move all electronics up front? Do i need to make something to do this and were is a common spot to move them? Also, on the motor has anyone ever had the top case under the carbs painted? Do i need hi temp paint for that? Or is that just a bad idea? Thanks guys!

I have my cases and cub cyls powder coated. Search around a bit and you will find a few threads on relocating the CDI
locogato11283
Here's what I did.. I just cut the shit off the rear and put it up front. It cleans up the rear and makes mounting easy up front. I just welded it back on. I know that JDS Customs makes a bracket as well to hold all the electrical shit. You might check them out. Nothing significant. more of a clean up the frame deal. the frames like DwnSouth posted are more drag oriented.

camatv
you guys know that stuff will fit up under the tank right? then you dont have that congloberation of bullshit all over the place... you can even make a mount and put the cdi right behind the tank and that also cleans it up a lot. i built one a LONG time ago for a drag bike then i recently built one out of stainless strap for my wife's bike.
