POLL: best all purpose banshee build opinions needed

I need opinions and facts from all the skilled builders on here. The best thing about this site is most members already know every part, spec, or idea for a banshee. I have recently taken over my dads 1998 banshee, im lookin to turn it into a complete multipurpose banshee! I want it to be fast to dust buddys on strait aways, i want it to handle great on trials (trails are nice smooth gaslines, well roads, old dirt roads not muddy or wet) and be able to ripp around the farm, do some barrel racing for fun in a field maby? I want some ideas of the perfect setup! I know its not easy to make a multipurpose banshee but i see the phrase "if you have enough time and money anything is possible" and i live on a farm and theres snow, I HAVE TIME! any input would be appreciated!

you have asked the question that everyone trys to do.

 

combine a drag bike and a SXS and a farm tractor into one machine..

 

it wont happen your asking how to make a corvette into a mud truck and a soccer mini van. there are reasons differnt items exist

 

if you want a just fun rideable banshee. build a well built 350 - 400cc ( about 2500+) build a nice frame around it including decent shocks, a-arms, swingarm with round carrier and a +4 axle. ( about 1000-2500+) then you will have a decent all around bike.

 

OR get on craigslist and buy one locally that has nice frame stuff for about 2k. then rebuild the motor to your liking.

A piped banshee thats well maintained and gone thru is a solid fun bike. Just tuned right and good tires they are a fun. Suspension, nerfbars, tires and pimp wheels helps them out alot too in the looks dept as well as fun factor.

Dune Ported 4mill with CPI's, PWK 33's, and aftermarket suspension. It is what a banshee is all about. If you want or need bottom end then just sell it and get a 4 stroke.

a great all around motor is a 7mm stroke in stock cylinders.enough power to do it all and reliable too!(85-92 HP )depending on pipes and carbs.

my buddies 400 cheetah power valve set seems to be a great all around bike. or you could build a serval stock cyl ported it depends on what you want to spend? come up riding in the coalhills you will see 40-90hp bikes run the trails,hills,mud and dirt roads it really comes down to your preference.

 

a set of a arms and shocks will help alot and a +4 swing arm would work ok in trails and drags
