pipes and good tires stock banshee tires blow if thats whats on them all i really do is trails and all ive got is some good dirt tires (mr501s), pipes, cool head, and advanced my timing and it rips good down the trails. if ya got some good money to blow shocks is good investment. other then that the mods are endless. good luck and welcome

I hear that Flowtek's aggressive trail porting is a great mod, I don't have any porting yet though. I have bear claw tires on and those are some of the best I have ran. My Shearer in frame drag pipes and stock carbs with Uni clamp ons is pretty badass off road. I never tried to advance the timing before...

I love my set up for the trails. The 4 mil is the way to go. I got the crank and a port, the bike is a totally different animal now. Pick up a timing plate. Super easy mod. Coolhead is good too. its all preference. but my bike will take any 450, 700, 660 or what ever there is around here. You can send your whole motor to a builder and get it back kicking ass and taking names if you don't wanna tear into it and break something.(that is half the fun tho) I went with HJR. I heard awesome things about F.A.S.T as well. Give one of them a call and tell them where you ride, what you want to do with the bike. They will give you a run down of options that you can do.

im pretty interested in the 4mil and i have a buddy who owns a shop so he could do the bottom end work if needed the only way id send my motor out is for porting because im pretty sure hed be clueless on atv porting (he builds older v8 motors) i just need more information about the 4 mil i deff want a mean trail bike that can walk all over 660's and 700's just a lil stuck on which direction to go.

My trial set up is about perfect, in my opinion here is what you should do, for performance: a set of pro circuit pipes, a cool head with 20 or 21cc domes, advance your timing +4, get pods (if there will be lots of water crossing just remove your airbox lid and get a better filter). For reliability: a high flow water impeller, 28mm carbs, (i wouldnt go much bigger for riding trails) stock gearing, maby +1 or -1 tooth in the rear, a good chain, i reccomend D.I.D X-ring gold chain, reverse your rear wheels, get front wheel spacers for cheap to help handleing, a better set of lights will help u out if you do alot of night riding, i also think the tire makes the bike, so i run holeshot xcts i have a 22 on the rear (nice lift for rocky trails) a temp guage will help you out on long summer rides, for rider comfort: a anti vibration steering stem (lonestar), some nice fat bars(renthal), maby nerfs? But generally just think: quick, with good traction, and power for any hill.... thats what you should keep in mind when building a trail shee. Hope that helps.
