SonOfSand
Here's a couple pics of my bikes. mostly race cut but one pic has a pic with a more dune cut with just a trimmed rear fender.. hope this helps. Great job on your Shee's... gorgeous. I see you have CPIs and Shearers, which do you prefer?
andrew3160
Here are a couple of pics of mine cut with 2 different styles. This was how they were cut with full rears for a whole. This is what I changer to and finished with when I updated my bike. I used a jig saw and sanded the edges smooth, then went over it with a torch to smooth it out. jlevasseur
Great job on your Shee's... gorgeous. I see you have CPIs and Shearers, which do you prefer? thanks for the compliments!. Um, to me the shearers and the CPI's seem to have a very similiar powerband. Seems like the shearer is just a little more peaky. I just went with the Shearers on the red bike cause alot of people run the CPI's and not so much the sheares so I wanted to be different. But I had them show chromed since i didn't care for the nickle chrome that comes from matt.

Overdose
Nice pics guys, I'm going to cut mine soon. I plan to use a die grinder with a thin cutoff wheel.
manny 2004 banshee
Be careful with the air grinder, i used that and hot plastic flying at you doesn't feel good. I ended up just heating up a knife for the rough cut, then used a file to grind down the pretty noticeable blemishes, then a sander to make it perfect. Once I was done I used a torch to give the edges the soft feel

zachass9
As far as cutting the fenders, I lay down the design that I want with masking tape and use a body saw to cun about an 1/8 inch from the line and the I use an 18 inch air file to sand upto the masking tape lines!! The large surface of the air file makes for super straight line and a clean finish! Just my .02, but we cut fenders all the time as we order out fenders raw and untrimmed from Fast Fibers!!
