Anybody tell me why this top case would be jb welded here?

What topend are you running?

 

 

Its a t-rex. 10 mil. Yea base gasket job is piss poor. You should see the spacer plate. It has 2 base gaskets and a spacer plate. Case has not been port matched. I plan to take it apart and re do it. 72 mm bore. rod has 30L on it. Guy sold this motor to a friend of mine cause he thought it was junk. Ran like a ported stock motor. I plan to bring it back to life.

Yea they do looked trenched right there. I thought that was excessive silicone at first. Is that jb weld safe? Afraid it might come loose.

lol what is it man? Ever seen anything like that?

 

I've seen the oil channel filled in, but yours is totally ghetto. I would remove the epoxy that's in there and clean everything up and build it right. The big spacer plate / gaskets you have is probably to accomodate the large rods.

Whats the purpose of this? Why is it only on one side? I was thinking new wrist pin

thats one back woods engine right there..

 

between the spacer. the garantee'd not to come out clips and the absolute certanty the ports are all jacked up, AND the PRO cut base gaskets.. that thing needs help what a freebee
