gomerkfx700
Whelp I bit the bullet today and ordered my engine from m&m I have a 421cub setup and nutral down 1-5 on its way I cant wait. I was goin to have andy repair a set of stock strok cubs for me but it was goin to cost as much to fix them as it was to buy a new set and i needed a crank as well so i went 421. After my credit card recovers it'll be time for some carbs and pipes and other goodies. I just don't think that my 35mm pwks will be enough. What kinda carbs are you guys running mostly pwks or lectrons
FASTOYS
Its all personal preference and what your used to tuning on.. We like Keihin PWKs and Andy likes Lectrons. Which is better kinda like a ford vs chevy ?? Enjoy your new mtr..

gomerkfx700
No porting yet or alky plan on running race gas and probably a little spray undecided on the noss right now though. But I really like the semplicity of the electrons ans ease to change from gas to alky if I decide to go that route later on.

Every builder has their preferences for their motors. They have all fine tuned their own motors with certain parts. It would be best to talk to Andy about what is best for this setup. gomerkfx700
Well I talked to andy he said shearers but it really shouldn't matter since they are not ported I could see if he ported them and the porting was designed to work with the pipes I guess I should have said that. So that being out of the way what's the best pipe for stock ported 421 cub. Also ive heard a little rumor that rocket well maybe have a oof by spring anyone heard this. Your builder recommended a certain pipe for his setup and you totally disregard what he said. Just go with T-5's and be done with it. gomerkfx700
Well I do this because maybe someone out there has dynoed there bike with my setup with say shearers sm and bb and maybe rdz pipes and they can chime in and say hey the sb made thebest all around power with more torque but the rdz made 3 more Hp on top with a little narrower band but only lost 1 lb of torque but the bb sucked except on spray they they blew the others away builders are not always perfect or correct. I am sure at some time or another a builder said you cant get any faster then a 3.9 on stock cylinders snd now look ehst thry are running. And by no means am I desagreeing with andy but just wanted others opinions on pipes and there conclusions. Not a argument over doing what I'm told. Thanks
camatv
hmm if your going to drag race it. not sure why you would choose gas if you are. id say a set of shears ( like andy suggested) should be fine. IF your going to ride it around i'd highly suggest a set of snipers. i personally dojnt have any experience with rockets so i dont really know but due to the fit on them i prefer others. other that that its andys call its a bolt together motor. and they are spelled LECTRONS. electrons is when your in the dirty down south and you " gotta go to da electrons booth cause da new press is geeettn vetoed in"
