jonvia Posted December 26, 2011 Report Share Posted December 26, 2011 my damn carb on my left side is leaking gas out of the drain hose. the float is free moving, the splash guard is in the correct place. the jets are tight... what is causing it to still leak?? its never done this before... i need help. its very aggravating. the machine is not even running when it starts to leak... what is this? Take a Q-tip with tooth paste on it an polish the needle seat, do it several times until there is no dark crap on Q-tip. Then clean toothpaste off. I did it to a carb and was amazed at crap that was on Q, and seat looked new. Imagine Mothers mag, simichrome, or brasso would work too, anything to clean and polish it.
