98sheeboy
I just recently brought home a 98 banshee and its in a fair conditon. The guy i got it from ran it with no airfilter or airbox lid. The compression is around 100. I want to put 1000 into it. What mods should i get ??? Surfrjag
Welcome to the site! What other mods are done besides the air filter delete? I would start bby getting airfilters and freshen up the topend.
kodie
Need to know whats done to it now and what kind of riding you do. Tell us what mods are done to it now and maybe throw up a few pics that always helps.
Jereme6655
you are going to need to do that top end (because that is getting seriously low) and then get some filters. figure $300 for rebuild and about $40-50 for filters. Then pipes, fluid changes, brake pad changes, cool head, jets for carb jetting, new grips (if needed).....this should be a decent start. I would also suggest (since the bike is new to you) that you split the cases while you have the cylinders out for bore/honing. This way you can assure that things are healthy inside the motor.....no one wants to pull cases apart JUST after they've rebuilt the top end cause something went bad in the lower end.... ginger
possibly look into porting your jugs while they are out getting bored/honed.

STINKYDELUXE
Rebuild the top end, after market reeds (for your average everyday rooting and tooting you don't have to but expensive ones), air cleaner, adjustable timming plate used after market pipe if it don't have one and if theirs money left port it. Larry's Shee
At the very least check side clearance, up+down, side2side of rods. Specs and procedures are in the manuals.
