BAMF87
I can't seem to get my banshee running right. It has fmf fattys, k&n filter with no air box at all, I'm runnin 27.5 pilots 310 mains air screws 2 turns out. Elevation is 2000-2500 temp now 50-60. Any help? Is has some low end box and mid range. Once I get 3/4 throttle it goes like it should.
lt500rbigbore
mains seem pretty big for just fattys and a k&n that set up should run around a 270-280 main jet, what colour is your plug, if its a tan or brown your pretty close if its black your rich, also your needle should be on the second clip, i use to have the exact same set up as you but im around 400ft elavation Edited December 19, 2011 by lt500rbigbore
BAMF87
I'm going to do a plug chop today. When I bought it it had a 290 main with airbox on and lid removed. I took the whole air box off and changed to a 310 main
BAMF87
Also Santa is bringing me chariot reeds for Xmas so then what should I be at?
Larry's Shee
Try leaning needle, and see if they're stock needles. If they aren't stock, might try stock needles.
BAMF87
Which direction on the needle is lean? I just did a plug chop I don't have pics but the left side seemed perfect with a light brown ring and he right side had a little darker brown but wasn't a perfect ring more like swirls. BAMF87
this is the same plug, its from the right side. I dont have pictures of left side because i broke it during the chop lol but the left side looked alomost perfect it was solid white with a small brown ring. also the right side smokes more than the left and that is the side these pics are from. Should i go down to 300 mains? or 290?

Toybreaker
Ok I'll do that thx My bike is pretty close to yours. I run a 30 pilot with 280 mains and a toomey needle in the middle. I also run my premix at 32:1 (Castor 927) leaning it out on the needle would be moving the clip up If it doesn't clean up until the top your waaaaaay fat. Larry's Shee
I'd do leakdown BEFORE you tear it down to be sure that's the problem
