A quick question I ride a Gordons Well and have a new ported and polished 398 big bore kit to put on with a pro design cool head and want to know before i puit it on if anyone knows what my compression will be if i put the 19cc domes on if i can still run pump gas. The port job is a mild drag port with tripple exhaust ports. The reason i ask is because i have a stock crank and dont have the money right now to put in a welded crank. Thanks for the help

The only way to find out is do a compression test. Bore, Piston, Porting, Elevation, and Deck Height all have an effect on what kind of compression you get. If you don't have everything buttoned up yet, I would send the crank to get pinned and welded. However im going to be running the crank on 19cc domes. That being said, I know its a ticking time bomb. BTW ill be running race gas.

Mild drag port with triple exhaust ports? Whos motor build is this and why would they have you run pump gas on it and not set you up with the correct domes. Do not just throw 19cc domes on it, that would have to be a somewhat picky build about what domes you should use. Just my opinion. Im really trying to help not just bust yer balls.

  • 1 month later...

maybe its an athena china port job? i mean really anyone that can turn a wrench and can spend money on bolt on's through ebay is a builder these days.

LOL, agreed, Im "fixing" im mean, seeing more and more of this lately.

And to Maddog, we need to know more info... what bore size? what port timing? etc.. etc... and every Banshee SHOULD have a trued/welded crank asap...
