04zSpittinKlotz
try leaning your needle, up one notch
dajogejr
try leaning your needle, up one notch Yep, I'd start with the needle too..but I'd go the other way, I'd try riching it up. I always give more fuel first, if it gets worse, then you know you're going in the wrong direction safely... Lean goes boom, rich goes blahhhhh... Bkm2006
Clip dropped one slot down from middle ( richer) ... I'm going to pick up some more plugs today. It's raining out today so I won't get another plug chop in till it dries up.

04zSpittinKlotz
very very true dajogejr! i only said leaner because of it stuttering and cant get to WOT, every bike i have i start putting on pipes and reeds ect.. they seem to like the clip a notch leaner. i always start at the top as thats where the most heat is generated and they go BOOM ! (get it to "spit" at WOT then go down 1 size), then work my way down,,, to an extent,, it helps to have it idle and the needle letting you get to WOT. also BKM, your referring to your main jets as not letting it idle,,, if you had color w/ the 360 mains i'd use those , adjust your airscrews for idle,, sounds like your too fat on the pilots

The mains overlap the midrange quite a bit. You've seen the mid get better by leaning it with the 340 mains, You definitley need to raise your clip and lean your mid range out a little. Since you're getting the plugs for a jetting run anyway, use the limit screw on the throttle lever and turn it in so you can only open to 1/2 throttle and do your jetting run to check your needles. Same process, you're just limiting the throttle to the mid is all. Once you get that right, you'll have to readjust your air bleed screw or even change your pilot jets, but this can usually be figured out with a little help from the choke . Once you get that right, you'll have to readjust your air bleed screws or even change your pilot jets. Just remember, If you lean your needles you'll prob need to using the choke to get it started, use the choke to keep it running while you adjust the air screws (in) equally to keep it running. If you get to less than a turn open, you'll have to go up to #30 pilots. Check my sig, I'm pretty close to your set-up, the Vito's needles have six notches instead of 5 and I'm just on the lean side of center.
