Finch
just ordered a cool head and some 19 domes prob going to have to rejet? also any suggestion on installing it would be nice Edited December 7, 2011 by mikefi01shee
Jereme6655
use vasoline to hold the o-rings in the head for ease when assembling. don't pinch the o-rings....it will cause them to leak. And do a leak-down test every time you pull the head or crack into the motor. yes some will say that its a hassle.....however the 30 minutes it'll take you is nothing compared to having to open your motor up AGAIN and then haveto pay to get a rebuild. From Mild TO Wild!
For one thing we determined it needed a rebuild before catastrophic failure. Two, cool head does nothing to jetting. If you put reeds or some performace bolt ons on it that would require a rejet. Now I know how people felt with the things I said when I was a noob. You can't bump your compression but there's a reason why it was that low. If I were you I'd fix it now. You sound like a person with more money than brains so you wont listen till its blown up. Then you'll go spend to much to get a built engine. Notice the proper sentence structure and full word? Use them.

Use them. for one thing at my elevation everything ive read says 100 for stock, and i figure while in there might as well beef it up. im guessing the rings are just stuck. seeing how it sat for year and a half. it still runs strong and starts up quick i dont have to sit and kick it for ever. so i may not be that far off
