SAMoloGY Posted November 25, 2011 Report Share Posted November 25, 2011 ok, as the title says.. ive got a thick white (almost looks like milk) leaking from transmission, i know its transmition oil but.. does this mean the oil has mixed with the coolant? the motor has been freshly rebuilt and i took it out for a test drive only to notice a loss of power and a the motor stopped running so, i pushed it back home and as soon as i stopped it just leaked the whole load out!. ive blown a motor before, and this felt exactly the same! but, to my surprise.. i tried firing her up again and the motor runs just fine.. the thing is, the transmition leaked all its oil out, and it was a thick white fluid.. the same fluid was also found in the radiator. no, i didnt go hard on her and yes i did check the dipstick and its covered in white. could someone please explain the cause of this and what exactly is this fluid mixture and a possible solution? was it assembled wrong or is it something else? i tried searching for "white fluid" and "white oil" but got no results. Larry's Shee Posted November 25, 2011 Report Share Posted November 25, 2011 It doesn't take much coolant to make a milkshake out of the oil. Unless it was like 50/50 oil/water, drove it for a long time, or have a high out put motor for a shorter time, it should be fine.
