Recommended Posts

So I recently built a 465 10 mil. This is the best option next to buying a 4 stroke. The response from this motor is unbelievable. Bottom end all the way to the top end.It pulls the hole time.

My set up

-wampus cylinders(clean up ports) with wiseco blaster pistons 68mm

-modquad cool head with 23cc domes(runs on pump gas)

-TDR forged 10 mil crank

-Hinson straight cut gears and basket

-Shaerer big bore pipes

-Keihin pwk 39mm carbs with cheriot billet bowls and intakes

-v froce 3 reeds with cascade reed stuffers

-case trenching and porting from wicked atv

-1-5 dunnable overide from Heerjugs racing

I destroy all of my buddies with hopped up trx 450's ,yfz 450's and the raptors. Got all the info for this build from this site. Thanks for all the great how to articles and know how.

Switch over to small-bore pipes on that engine and you will like it even more.

shearer says some people like the feel of the big bores better even on 421 motors its probably driving style?? wonder what the difference would be

Plenty of people run big bore pipes on 10cubs........................with very good success.

my 10mm cub with big bore inframes made 116 the first pull, i switched to small bore out of frames the hp dropped to 110, i spent a whole day tuning just to get the small bores back to the orignal hp mark of the big bores.

Frog is on pump gas. His motor will make the same top end power, with a better front side curve with the SB pipes. But if he's happy with it and doesn't need to find evey ounce of power....or if spendig money to get another set of pipes isn't worth the extra power..then run them.

Hmmmm...... Tempting. What chassis is that on? My stock frame with +6 swinger may not hold up to that you think?
