thomas h.
I would find a close Bhq site sponcer and ask them If a ported banshee is for sale Good porting with matching pipes is a big investment.
Jereme6655
both the spark plugs are EASY access......hell you can get to them with a plug wrench, socket, or cresent wrench (only in a pinch) if you need to. when it comes to look for it all depends. Alot of it depends on you. IF you like building things up....then look for one that needs motor work. I kind of like this option because when you get it rebuilt YOU know EXAACTLY what has been done to it and have no doubts about what someone else may have done inside the motor. If you ARE looking at one that has a running motor...... do a compression check. Screw in the hose for the tester...hold the throttle WIDE OPEN, and kick and keep kicking until the needle stops moving....may take 3 kicks....may take 8 kicks. A STOCK motor with good compression should come back around 120-125 psi. If it has a cool-head then the compression is all going to depend on what domes the owner has in them. If you can look for ones that have pipes on them already.....it will wind up with you paying less if you find one that has the pipes on it already. anymore questions just ask.......and welcome to the site! Okay so basically I plug the compression hose where the spark plug would be then I full throttle it and just keep kicking until the needle stops moving? The shee won't start right and i have to hold the throttle wide open the whole time until the needle stops moving correct?
Larry's Shee
Gas and ignition off. Easier with both plugs out. If owner is hesitant to allow comp test walk away unless it's a smoking deal. Be leary if it's warm to touch when you get there, might be signs that it's hard to start cold, for various reasons. BTW, welcome to BHQ !!

rjdgriff
I only pull one plug out and that's all you need to pull to check ur compression. Make sure you check both sides tho and I recommend having the plug in on the side your not checking.
